Live Events & Networking Support a year agoToday’s Bordon BiZHUB icebreaker was to find out something surprising and delightful about the other members in the room, and everyone wrote down something and we picked them randomly and those present had to guess who the author of the note was and possibly what their business did.

I like to ask “do you do much networking?” as that way you can judge how they are feeling – if they are at their first event, then they are probably very nervous and you can have a different conversation, to someone who is a serial networker.

Love this intro – such a great reminder that networking is really about building genuine relationships first and foremost. It’s amazing how often opportunities come from the most unexpected connections, just by showing up, being yourself, and being open to conversation.
