Today’s BiZHUB Monday was a good start to the week with a thought provoking and wide ranging discussion around how to bring joy to your work. Which is the topic of @signal-emma‘s newsletter this week, and a really interesting follow up thought; do you plan joy within your working week?
@keithbudden123 spoke about enjoying his Expo recently, as it is a good way to meet potential customers. He also mentioned his recent win getting a shout out from Small Business Sunday and meeting Theo Paphitis’
@jchudleigh shared some work within a recent new business using Claude Code, an AI tool to help the non-coders achieve professional results for their apps and websites. This was helping him realise the vision for his new business.
I offered a lovely new tool called https://lovable.dev – which can help you build your own apps. Here’s my app to check if a website is running on WordPress, and what version. https://wp-url-checker.lovable.app/
There was some discussion about AI tools and how it helps bridge the gap between creator and media/customer. A lot of the issue is that user input may be limited and therefore the AI’s response could be incomplete or unsuitable for use.
I also shared some tips about getting features and news stories in the local press, to help maginify your presence offline, and via word of mouth.
Keith offered a really good tip, to set up a Google alert on your own name (Advanced Google search feature here – https://www.google.com/alerts) Google alert on your own name, then Google will email you a link to any news story or article which they index containing your name (or company name, or other name/term that you might be interested in).
A brief chat with Ivan and Matt about AI and if AI taking jobs yet/anytime soon? Lots of thoughts there, but again lack of skill by the user may produce sub-optimal outcomes.
Rounded out a great session, lots of thinking points, some cool new tools and a lovely start to Monday’s working week!
Thanks ALL!
