Personal Assistant with Bookkeeping Skills
Business Base: Bordon, Hampshire
Work Location: Working From Home.
Hours: Part-time, flexible – circa 16 hrs per month.
Rate: £16 – £20 per hour

We’re a small, established Ltd company looking for a versatile Personal Assistant to the books running smooth. This is a hands-on, varied role combining office administration, bookkeeping, and occasionally, customer support — ideal for someone organised, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple priorities without close supervision.It’s not a huge company, and we have different projects from website development and events, property and hospitality.
You’ll be working direct with the MD and responding to customers when he’s out — so we need someone reliable, proactive, and trustworthy with sensitive financial and business information.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Finance
· Day-to-day invoicing (raising and sending customer invoices, processing supplier bills)
· Maintaining accurate financial records ready for our accountant’s monthly review
· Monitoring cashflow and flagging any late or overdue payments (aged debtors)
· Reconciling bank account and invoices
· Raising and sending monthly invoices
· Chasing outstanding invoices and helping manage bad debt risk
· Liaising directly with our external accountant to ensure books are complete and queries are resolvedCustomer/Support
For times the MD is otherwise distracted, or out of office,
· Raising support tickets with our devs and handling enquiries as required
· Monitoring and responding to incoming support tickets/customer queries and flagging
· urgent matters to the MD or raising tickets for our developers/staff.
· Triaging and resolving straightforward issues, escalating anything complex
· Keeping ticket records up to date and following up until resolvedPA & Office Duties
· Being the reliable “in office” presence when the Director is travelling or unavailable
· General diary management, correspondence, and office administration
· Point of contact for staff/suppliers/customers when the Director is out of reach
· Ad hoc administrative support as neededAll of these may be required in one week, or just the books, it really does depend.
What We’re Looking For
· Proven experience in a PA, office manager, or bookkeeping/admin support role
· Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles — invoicing, basic reconciliation, reading an aged debtors report (ICB/IAB qualification a plus but not essential)
· Comfortable using accounting software, and has experience of Quickfile — please state which accounts packages you have previously used.
· Experience handling customer support tickets or a helpdesk system is a plus
· Excellent organisation and communication skills
· Trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential financial and business information
· Able to work independently and use good judgement when the Director isn’t available
· Has experience of CIC reporting – not essential but would be advantageousWhat We Offer
