• Brand Positioning & Reputation

      Hi everyone.
This month, the spotlight in the SiGNAL BiZHUB is on branding, positioning, your reputation and customer experiences.

Remember, it’s less about what your brand looks like but more about:

      • What you want your business to be known for,
      • How others actually see it,
      • and how you build a reputation that brings people back and gets them recommending you.

Not only will I be sharing the stage with fellow SiGNAL Champion Matt Laakvand at this months Founder Roadshow event on the 20th Nov, but I am here inside the community all month long to help you resolve some of the common fears or frustrations around branding such as:

⚡ “I know what I do, but struggle to explain it clearly.”

⚡ “My website, social posts and marketing all look a bit different.”

⚡ “I want to charge more, but I’m not sure my brand gives people the confidence to pay it.”

⚡ “People don’t seem to understand what makes me different.”

⚡ “My business has moved on, but my branding hasn’t caught up.”

⚡ “How do I look professional while still sounding like me and my personality?”

⚡ “I’m doing good work—how do I turn that into a stronger reputation?”

⚡ “I offer lots of things, but struggle to work out what I should be known for.”

⚡ “I know who I’d love to work with, but I struggle to attract them.”

I’m here and available inside my Branding Edge Circle throughout the month to answer your questions and help untangle any branding frustrations. No question is too small, and you don’t need to know the jargon.

So maybe let’s kick things off right here. 👇

What’s the one thing about your brand (or how people see your business) that you’d love to get clearer on?

      • I find it hard to articulate what I do in a simple sentence, so I end up feeling like I’m over explaining all the time. Also, as soon as you say ‘build business software’ or use the word ‘Tech’ in a sentence, people are trying to escape 🙂

        • @nataliehaigh I can completely understand where you are coming from. Many of our clients are in some sort of tech sector (engineering, cyber security, SaaS etc) and this is the biggest and most common hurdle we help them overcome. You have to gain an understanding of what problems you are really solving for someone. No one is looking for another piece of business software. What they are looking for is a solution to a problem they need solving.

Quick exercise to try: think of one client you’ve helped. What was frustrating them beforehand, and what have they been able to do or achieve since working with you? Then try constructing a simple statement like this:

“I help [your ideal type of customer] with [a frustrating problem you can solve] to [a desired outcome and emotion they get after working with you].”

Hope that helps. I also offer a free 121 session and audit of your brand performance if you’d like to explore this further. Links available in the Branding Edge Circle.
