• Hi, I’m new today and looking for recomendations for setting up a business website. I’ve looked at so many and so far short listed Wix and Square Space. Any advice for a newbie at this would be appreciated. I’ll be offering holistic therapy training, mainly Reiki. Holistic treatments and free monthly Reiki share meetings. So need a website to book courses, treatments, take payments and be able to receive messages and reviews.

      Thank you

      Katherine

      • Katherine, are you looking to build yourself or offload to somebody to create it for you? If the latter, I’d be happy to have a chat with you.

      • Hello Katherine, and welcome. I have a lot of knowledge in both the wellbeing sector ( 3 current clients) and websites. I’m mainly a mentor for small business, so I have various suggestions for you that could also involve creating a landing page via a CRM rather than a full website. Happy to have a chat and offer free advice.

        • @Hannah Hi Hannah, thank you for taking the time to respond. I’m not sure if I need a CRM? I thought that was a customer info base programme, but maybe things have moved on? I need to attract customers first, so I thought a website would be a starting point.
As you’re a mentor for new businesses, I would love to chat things through with you.
          Thank you.

          • @katherine-coates Absolutely, and you’re right that a CRM is traditionally used to manage customer and contact information.
I was thinking more broadly about the simplest and most cost-effective way to get you started. At this stage, you may not need a full website or a complicated CRM system. A simple spreadsheet could be enough to keep track of enquiries and potential customers. Platforms such as Mailchimp can also be used to create a professional single landing page, as well as collecting email addresses and managing future communications. Depending on what you need, that could give you everything required to explain your offer, build trust and encourage people to contact you, without the initial cost and work involved in building a full website. A website may of course still be the right option, and I have worked as a website builder. But I would want to understand your business, your audience and how you plan to attract customers before recommending that you invest in one.
I’d be very happy to chat it through with you and help you work out the most sensible starting point. I’ve messaged you my mobile number for a chat.
