I like to ask “do you do much networking?” as that way you can judge how they are feeling – if they are at their first event, then they are probably very nervous and you can have a different conversation, to someone who is a serial networker.

Hi everyone and welcome to the group “Networking Support’. We get a LOT of questions about networking on and offline, how to do it if you are introvert, how to sell yourself without being overtly salesy and so on. Most people are nervous of networking in one way or another. Our suggestion is not to approach networking as if you are looking for…

Hi everyone 👋
Love this intro – such a great reminder that networking is really about building genuine relationships first and foremost. It’s amazing how often opportunities come from the most unexpected connections, just by showing up, being yourself, and being open to conversation.
Looking forward to seeing the tips and support Hannah shares…

This is wonderful, particularly for those looking to make immediate sales connections. I have always loved networking, but find it a bit scary in moments. Thank you for sharing. this perspective. Can’t wait to make more friends as a newbie.
Best wishes

😻Hey everyone I’d love your views to take to a meeting of business community leaders I go to each month . The challenges we take with us get edited into a paper that goes to Cabinet each month. So, these are some of my thoughts, for what they are worth.
Priority barriers/issues to growth and productivity – I am mainly focussing on the start-up stage here, but when I was first starting out, one of the key problems was fully understanding and putting together my offer, then getting myself ‘out there’ locally. I am fortunate enough to…

Continuing on from our AI discussion this morning I am looking for an AI assistant to do some cashflow modelling and reporting on different scenarios. Poe recommends the following : Fathom, Float and Spotlight all of which apparently integrate with Xero. Has anyone got any experience of any of these? @geoffb @Gillian @andytree @Andyswift1 …

Hi Emma, sadly I don’t have any experience with these, but following on from the discussion on AI this morning, I am looking into all things AI. I would be very keen to talk with anyone who has used these to see what they think. Gillian

Hello. These apps are great, bt are very much a diy way of managing cash flow; they may well make life a little easier, I have only dabbled to see what they are about (I have tried Float and Futrli) and they are time consuming and feel a little less detailed or peronalised than using good old Excel, with little time saving (depending on…
