Stop trying to be everywhere with your marketing.
Every week there’s a new channel you should “definitely” be on.
But the clients I see making real progress aren’t on more channels. They’re on fewer, and going deeper.
Pick 2 or 3 where your ICP actually pays attention. Drop the rest.
Here’s an audit to do it honestly.
Tick mentally as you read. Drop your top 3 in the comments — happy to respond here or if you prefer, at the Growth Engine Office Hours Thursday 10am if you want to walk through yours.

There’s also the business maturity to consider – you may be turning up where your customers are but if they have not heard about you, or there’s lots of similar messages/businesses also showing up you become part of the background noise. I’ve ALWAYS favoured building direct relationships, you may be able to amplify your messages online, but the personal, one to one approach, generated from word-of-mouth is probably the most important channel and it’s not on the list 🙂
Having seen quite a few businesses in the early stages it’s those building authority, and credibility throughout their comms are the ones that thrive. Quickly building up a word of mouth pipeline. This is not a passive “if you build it they will come” mindset, this is strategic networking, turning up consistently to the events that matter. It takes time and effort, applied over a decent time frame. It’s not quick, but it does build longevity, I think of it as building deep roots.
