| About me |
I’m a web designer/developer. I moved from a technical IT support role in 1999 to web development, with my first website build being over 3,000 product pages for a microbiology company.
In 2005, I started Futuresys Ltd, with a mission to make the Internet work for my customers while they concentrate on running their business.
In 2024, I started Sturdyhaul, in partnership with one of my long-term customers, to manufacture a specialist device they had designed for safer lifting and moving of concrete beams for block-and-beam floor installations. The CBM180 Concrete Beam Mover was born: the unique concrete beam lift and move trolley that enables a single operator to easily lift and move beams weighing up to 180kg from delivery at the edge of a building site to the installation, usually in an awkward location at the rear of a house where an extension or similar construction is taking place. A location where heavy machinery, such as telehandlers, simply can’t access.
The mission of the CBM180 is to help ensure builders can safely and easily move concrete beams and avoid risking long-term back injuries.
