Happy Thursday Bizhubbers!
Let’s talk about your networking profile. Right now. Yes, yours.
Think of your profile like your digital handshake—it’s the first thing people notice when they click your name. If it’s empty or half-baked, you’re basically saying:
🧍♂️ “Hi, I’m mysterious.”
🤷♀️ “Guess who I am!”
🫣 “Please don’t engage with me.”We want the opposite. We want people saying:
👏 “Ooh, they look interesting!”
🤝 “We have stuff in common!”
💬 “Let me message them right now!”Here’s what you need to fill out for max impact:
✅ Name – Obvious, but don’t get creative with emojis or nicknames unless you want to be un-searchable.
✅ Profile pic – Pick your best side and commit. So people can put a face to a name…literally.
✅ Company Name & Position – Let people know what you do without needing to channel Sherlock Holmes.
✅ Industry – This helps people find you and figure out if you speak their language.
✅ Region – Helps them understand if a face to face is realistic.
✅ LinkedIn Profile – You’ve got one. Don’t be shy. Let people stalk you professionally.
✅ Bio – This is your chance to be memorable. Drop in something human: what you’re passionate about, who you help, or your unhealthy obsession with coffee.
Why does this matter, I hear you ask?
A complete profile = more engagement, more connections, and more chances to meet the right people. Incomplete profiles = missed opportunities and awkward digital silence. So, give your profile a little TLC. Dress it up like it’s going somewhere fancy (because… it kind of is).
Go forth and glow up! 🌟 Your future ‘fully engaged networking self’ will thank you for it!

Great advice Hannah and remider. It’s important to keep it all upto date rather than making it a 1 time tick box exercise. Businesses move and evolve quickly – particularly in startup phase so always chackin that your profile is still relevant to you and your business right now.
