Hi everyone and welcome to the group “Networking Support’. We get a LOT of questions about networking on and offline, how to do it if you are introvert, how to sell yourself without being overtly salesy and so on. Most people are nervous of networking in one way or another. Our suggestion is not to approach networking as if you are looking for new customers because that will never work! Of course all our businesses rely on finding new customers but people are MORE than just potential customers. Just make friends gently and the rest will follow. Remember people may have great contacts for you even if they are not a great contact for your business themselves. People thath like and trust you and know what you do will be willing to put you in touch with others. So go out there and make friends and don’t be in too much of a rush to identify prospects, they will come 🙂 @Hannah is our networking expert at SiGNAL and she is going to lead this group, share great resources for you, help you all get to know each other and answer any questions you may have.
