Happy Thursday, Bizhubbers! Is it really already Thursday again!? Not long until the weekend! Or more excitingly, our Bordon Networking event at Blackmoor Golf Club tomorrow morning, followed by our “Creative Hub’ launch at the shed in the afternoon (3pm – 5pm)
This week I’m giving you a networking tip…..pay attention!
🤝 Don’t Just Follow—Follow Up
It’s easy to click ‘follow’, 👍 like a post, or join a conversation. But the real magic of networking happens in what you do next.
This platform is full of brilliant, talented, and generous people with valuable insights to share—but you can only tap into that if you follow up.
Following up could look like:
- Asking a thoughtful question
- Sharing a resource or article that could help
- Offering a tip or piece of advice that’s worked for you
These small actions often turn surface-level interactions into meaningful professional relationships.
Here’s why following up matters:
- You learn from people with different experiences
- You build credibility by contributing, not just consuming
- You build trust, visibility, and relationships that lead somewhere
So next time you connect with someone, don’t let it end there. Send a message. Keep the conversation going. Offer something helpful or thoughtful. Whether it’s your insight, your time, or just a “I’ve been there too”—you have something valuable to share.
👉 Haven’t connected with anyone new lately? Go browse the member list or dive into a group thread. Say hello. Ask a question. Make someone’s day—and maybe start something amazing.
Go forth and engage!….Your future self will thank you for it!

Such good advice Hannah, and I’ll add – be persistent, if someone doesn’t respond it’s probably just because they are super busy so keep trying !
