• Every month I sit with other small business community leaders (FSB, IOD, Scale Up Britain, Chamber of Commerce etc) and we produce a report on the state of small business in UK that goes direct to Cabinet and BEIS. Sorry for the short notice as its in 30 mins time but has anyone got anything to report to Government? Any gripes, anything on the wishlist? Is it getting harder to find customers? Are costs continuing to rise? What could the government do to ease pressure in your particular industry? Dont worry iof you miss the 30 minute deadline, this happens every month so I’m always interested. @robfryer-brandstorm @matthewlaakvand @ChrisWard @garethturner

      • Thanks for being a voice for us – I meet with small business owners who are really struggling, and one of the biggest issues isn’t just rising costs (though that’s definitely still a thing) — it’s the sheer amount of bad advice out there. People are overwhelmed with conflicting info about how to grow, where to focus, what “should” be working, and it’s creating a lot of confusion and burnout. They’re wasting time and money chasing stuff that just isn’t right for their stage of business. A lot of them need clear, practical support — not another grant they can’t figure out how to access, or a training course that’s way too generic. Appreciate what you’re doing with this — even being asked for input is something a lot of these business owners don’t feel they get. And you feeding it back offers hope.
